How to use Lyrics2Song

1. Quick start

1. Open the Studio. A sample song is loaded so you can try everything right away.
2. Either type over the sample lines or click 📋 Paste & Fix to bring in lyrics you already have.
3. Fix the lines marked red or amber, then copy the lyrics and the style prompt from the right panel into Suno.

2. Paste & Fix

Paste lyrics in Suno format ([Verse], [Chorus]…) or as plain stanzas separated by empty lines. Lyrics2Song detects the sections, links repeated choruses and sets a syllable target for every line based on the typical line length of that section (alternating patterns like 8-6-8-6 are recognised too).

The report tells you how many lines are 2+ syllables off. Make it singable asks the AI to rewrite just those lines to the target length while keeping the end word. Tick “I wrote these lyrics myself” if the text is yours – it then counts as human-written in the authorship log.

3. Reading the syllable pill

• Green 8/8 – the line matches its target.
• Amber 7/8 – one syllable off. Usually fine; singers can stretch one note.
• Red 11/8 – two or more off. This is where AI vocals rush or mumble.

Change a single line target with + / −, or set every line of the section at once under Set All Lines in Section to Syllables. Words in (parentheses) are treated as backing vocals and don't count.

4. Rhymes

Pick the rhyme scheme of the section (AABB, ABAB, ABCB, AAAA or Free). The letter next to each line shows its rhyme group. When a line breaks the scheme it turns red and you get two options:

• ⚡ Fix rhyme – writes a new line that rhymes with its partner.
• ✓ Accept as slant rhyme – keep it if it sounds close enough (desk / mess). The letter gets a dashed border so you still see it's not a perfect rhyme. Click undo to flag it again.

5. Getting new lines

• 🎲 Roll next to a line opens quick options (free, instant).
• ✨ 6 AI Options in that menu asks the AI for six fresh lines with the exact syllable count that keep the rhyme.
• Regenerate [section] rewrites a whole section, Generate Full Song rewrites every unlocked line.
• Click any word to see rhymes, slant rhymes and synonyms – suggestions with the same syllable count come first.

6. Lock what you love

🔒 a single word, a line or a whole section. AI and dice rolls never change locked parts – the rest of the song adapts around them and avoids repeating their images.

7. Melody and rhythm

• 🥁 Tap Melody – tap one key per syllable with Space, press Enter for the next line. Targets and strong beats are set from your taps.
• 📂 Upload .MID – import a melody from your DAW; each phrase becomes one line.
• ▶ Play – hear a simple preview of the section melody.

8. Export to Suno

1. Copy the lyrics from the right panel and paste them into Suno's Lyrics field (Custom mode).
2. Copy the Style of Music prompt into the style field.
3. Generate two or three versions – keeping lines even makes the good takes much more likely.

Tip: keep all lines of a section within ±1 syllable of each other, and put the most important word of a line on a stressed syllable near the end.

9. Saving your work

Your song is saved automatically in this browser. Use Export to download a project file (.json) and Import to open it on another device. Private/incognito windows forget everything when closed.

10. Beta limits

The beta is free. AI actions have a daily limit so the service stays fast for everyone; the syllable grid, rhyme check and export are unlimited. Something not working? Use the 💬 Feedback button – every message is read.
